Leadership Report

Parent to Teacher Meetings

Thank you to all the parents who have met with Teachers over this last week. We really value being able to work together to support student’s learning and strong communication from the beginning of the school year is very important in achieving this. Our next round of formal meetings will be at the end of Term 2 after first Semester reports are provided. In the meantime, if you have any further questions, concerns or would like to check in on how your child is doing at school, please get in touch with your child’s Class Teacher anytime to arrange a meeting.

Incitare

This week some of our year 6 leaders joined other year 6 students at Incitare. A day of faith and friendship. Students prayed, reflected, sang and met other students interested in enhancing their faith.

World Day of Prayer

Today Year 6 and the Choir sang beautifully at the World Day of Prayer, an ecumenical event that invites all Christian communities to pray. Thousands of events were held throughout Australia.

This year the focus was on Palestine. We learned about Palestine and the student sang 2 songs including “Make me a Channel of Your Peace”

Family Pool Night 2024

We are having our first whole school social gathering of the year with the Family Pool Night on Tuesday 5 March from 5.30 - 7.00pm. This is an excellent opportunity to reconnect with other families at the school, mingle with our school staff and meet and welcome new families to our school community.

It is important to know that parents are responsible for supervising their children during the event in addition to the pool lifeguards on duty. Pool entry will be charged for each swimmer via Flexischools at $4.70 each. The cost of the inflatable pontoon, parent spectators' fee, and a sausage sizzle (limit 1 per person) will all be covered by the School Community Group (previously P and F). Feel free to bring a picnic rug and additional food and drinks (no alcohol allowed).

The Pontoon will be available for any children who can competently swim in the deep end of the pool and can exit the pool safely without assistance. This is at the parent’s discretion, and if you decide your child can go on this, you may pick up a wristband for them on the night so this is visible to the lifeguards.

Please complete the following form for numbers and then go to Flexischools to purchase your orders by 9 am Monday 4th, March. Please be advised in the case of severe weather, this event may be cancelled, and money will be creditted. We hope to see as many families as possible come along to a fun and fantastic family night!
